Many homeowners may only have a couple stumps that need to be removed and it is much more efficient to provide quotes over the phone or via email if proper information can be obtained. Being able to quote a stump without being on site, provides for quicker service to the customer and allows us to maintain competitive pricing by reducing unnecessary driving time. In some cases where there are multiple stumps or the stump is in a difficult location, it may be best if we come out to personally inspect the stump and provide a quote.

To provide an accurate quote over the phone or via email, we’ll need answers to a few key questions to fully understand the scope of the job

The following is some information that is helpful for us to provide a quote:

• How accessible is the stump? Is it in an open front or back yard or is it in a gated back yard? How wide is the gate access?
• How many stumps and what is the diameter of each stump (See how to properly measure a stump below).
• Does the stump have a mound around it or exposed surface roots that need to be eliminated? If so, those need to be included in the diameter measurement.
• How high above the ground is the top of the stump?
• Pictures of the stumps and surrounding area help to give us a better perspective of any obstacles that we may need to know about.
• Communicating your intentions for the stump area (planting grass, new tree) after the stumps are removed will help us determine what type of grind to recommend.

Every job is different so during your consultation we may ask for additional information in order to provide the most accurate quote possible.

As soon as we have the quote ready, we will prepare a written proposal that will be emailed for your review.  If you approve, you may sign and return the proposal or provide an email confirmation that the proposal is approved.  Once approved, we will get your job scheduled.
